R-Day

Reception Day (R-Day)

Follow the parking and shuttle instructions in your cadet candidate's official reporting letter. New cadets check in at Eisenhower Hall, receive uniforms and haircuts, and get roughly 60 seconds to say goodbye before training begins.

What to Expect

Staying Connected During Beast

New cadets cannot receive packages during Cadet Basic Training ("Beast") — only letters in plain white envelopes. Write your first letter early so it's waiting when mail catches up. Our Parents Club coordinates care package drives for once your cadet can receive them.
